For every year of his tenure, President John Roush and his wife, Susie, have invited the graduating senior class into their home for a dessert reception. This unique Centre tradition embodies the personal education promised by the College and gives students a chance to share their wisdom before they depart from campus.
While enjoying Mrs. Roush’s homemade dessert, the President asks seniors two questions:
- What one thing about Centre would you never change?
- What one thing about Centre would you change tomorrow?
What follows is always an enlightening and interesting discussion about the good and bad elements of the Centre Experience and a wave of suggestions for improving things. Discussions at these events have been known to spark tangible changes that have enhanced campus for future students.
