Kicking Off the Spring 2012 Phonathon Season

By James Barnard, Associate Director of Annual Giving

Our team of student callers are ready to talk to you about your past and present support of the College as the Spring 2012 calling season kicked off on Monday, March 5 at 6.30pm. Call sessions will take place Sunday to Thursday throughout March and April, with some ambitious goals for the season.

In addition to the normal Phonathon priorities, this season our callers also want to hear your stories about your most memorable Centre professors. We look forward to discussing the people who made a difference in your life and had an impact on your Centre Experience.

Phonathon caller Jennifer O'Brien '13 is ready to talk to you about your support of Centre and your memories of campus.

Phonathon caller Jennifer O’Brien ’13 is ready to talk to you about your support of Centre and your memories of campus.

Molly Jernigan ’10, Development Fellow at Centre, is excited to kick off the season. “Phonathon creates a buzz in the Alumni House with our conference room being transformed into a call center. Every evening the room is full of students working hard to encourage our alumni, parents, and friends to help advance the mission of the College.” This is Molly’s second season in charge of the program.

Regarding your support of Centre, our callers will be asking you to make a pledge or gift to the Centre Fund. This is our annual fund and supports all aspects of the Centre Experience from faculty support to student financial aid. If you wish you to designate your gift to a different College account, the caller will assist you in doing so.

Calls will typically last just a couple of minutes, and we only call people who have not yet made a gift in the 2011-12 fiscal year. If you decide to make a gift via Phonathon, you can pay with a Visa, Mastercard or American Express using our secure payment system. If you have any questions, or you do not wish to receive a phone call, please email Molly.Jernigan@centre.edu.
